Including images in your content
Images must be uploaded before you can use them in your content.
The ensures that images are optimised for downloading to your visitors' devices.
Once uploaded click the MEDIA button from the editor toolbar to show a list of images to select from.
Insert a selected image using the "Insert image via URL" toolbar button.
To insert the image alongside text, position the cursor at the start of the paragraph before inserting it. Use the image controls to wrap the text either left or right.
Image controls, which are activated by clicking the image, allow you to:
- Include a caption for the image.
- Resize the image.
Add an "ALT" description to assist visitors with poor vision.
Here's an example of the same image slightly enlarged, aligned right.
The caption appears at the bottom of the image in a slightly smaller font size.
For this example, the text is center aligned.
And finally here's an example of a simple standalone image.
Full editor capabilities are explained in the official CKEditor documentation.
